NVCC First Year Experience Course Keeps Students On Track to Graduation
Students who enroll in and successfully complete their First Year Experience (FYE) course are more likely to return to college the next semester, according to a study done by NVCC’s Office of Institutional Research (OIR).

MAR.2 -- HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL TRIP: NVCC students will visit Harvard Medical School and attend the New England Science Symposium, where they will present, share research and discuss careers in the science field with students at all levels of study. Naugatuck Valley Community College’s literary journal, Fresh Ink, is inviting writers and graphic/photo artists to submit their work for consideration in this year’s publication. In 2012, Fresh Ink went international and we are working to continue stretching our limits.
On Feb. 14, 2013, at 12:45 p.m., Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC) will join with activists around the world for ONE BILLION RISING, the largest day of action in the history of V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. The College invites its members and the public to dance, sing, express their solidarity or simply observe the demonstration in the Technology Hall Atrium.
Current and prospective students are invited to attend Naugatuck Valley Community College Walk-in Registrations on Sat., Jan. 5 & 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at NVCC, 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury. The spring academic semester begins on Jan. 25.
Naugatuck Valley Community College will officially welcome its first Fulbright Scholar-In-Residence, Pascal Meccariello, in conjunction with the bi-semester presentation of Confluencia, a multicultural literary gathering, in the NVCC Playbox Theater on Wednesday, October 24 beginning at 5 p.m.
The Hospitality Management program and Events Management Club at Naugatuck Valley Community College invite members of the local community to attend the first event in this year's Autumn Luncheon Series, a “Farm-to-Chef Cookout,” on Wed., Sept. 19 at 12:15 p.m. on the Technology Hall Patio, 750 Chase Parkway. The event is part of the Connecticut Department of Agriculture’s Farm-to-Chef Week.
Current and prospective students are invited to attend Naugatuck Valley Community College Express Registration on Sat., Aug. 18 & 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at NVCC, 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury. The fall academic semester begins on Aug. 31.
