Elizabeth Richard, Inc. is throwing open its door at its new location in Woodbury this Saturday, August 15 at 9:00 am. The long anticipated opening of the shop in the Barclay Square plaza at 20 Sherman Hill Road is the result of the relocation of the business from its previous location in Waterbury.

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Six youth-based organizations in Waterbury just received an infusion of $360,000 in state grants to help run their programs. The River-Memorial Foundation, Inc., the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc., the Police Activity League, Inc. (Long Hill Recreation Center), the Willow Plaza Center; the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Waterbury and W.O.W. (Walnut Orange Wood) NRZ Learning Center have been awarded $60,000 each in a grant from the State Legislature.
New Opportunities, Inc. is in need of a truck and driver for approximately 1 - 1.5 hours on Wednesdays, to voluntarily pick up 2-3 pallets of pet food from Bozzuto’s in Cheshire and deliver it to NOI headquarters in Waterbury. Many of the homebound seniors who depend on the nutritious meals provided by Meals on Wheels have household pets dependent on pet food from Bozzuto’s. In an effort to keep these pets well-nourished, Animeals, a pet food delivery service launched by New Opportunities, Inc.
