Tour Historic Litchfield Homes, July 9th
CJR Benefit
The 64th Annual Open House Day Tour of Litchfield to benefit the Connecticut Junior Republic (CJR) will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rain or shine. Conducted by the Litchfield Aid of CJR, an auxiliary, volunteer organization, the 2011 event features six well-appointed homes and historic buildings, many of which are within walking distance to the center of town and Litchfield’s famous historic district. Additional historic points of interest are also included in the Tour. The 2011 event celebrates the Centennial of the Litchfield Aid which was established in 1911, for the sole purpose of supporting the Connecticut Junior Republic.

Modern love takes center stage when Naugatuck Valley’s community theatre, Phoenix Stage Company (PSC), proudly presents "The Last Five Years" beginning June 3rd in Naugatuck. Funny, tender and tuneful, the show features an audience-pleasing score spanning today's popular music genres by writer/composer Jason Robert Brown. The production will run from June 3rd through June 26th for twelve performances.

Connor serves with "New England's Own" Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment. Before leaving Connor, right, and his brother, Chris, left, had the opportunity to meet UConn basketball star Kemba Walker during Husky Day at the state capital.

The Waterbury Chapter of UNICO National will hold their Annual Scholarship Dinner Meeting on Tuesday, May 24th at 6pm at Villa Rosa/Ponte Club on Farmwood Road in Waterbury. Nine students from the Greater Waterbury area will be honored for their scholastic achievement. Dinner price is $35.00 per person. The event is open to the public but reservations are required.
