Waterbury Youth Chorus Accepting New Members

The Waterbury Youth Chorus (established Fall 2011) is a community-based chorus for Waterbury and the surrounding areas of Waterbury. The choir is open to youth (grades 2-12) of all musical experience. Whether you have a great amount or little to no musical experience, all are welcome into the choir! The Waterbury Youth Chorus consists of two choirs: “Crescendo” open to youth, grades 2-5 and “Forte” open to youth, grades 6-12. Rehearsals will be held every Sunday afternoon in the choir room upstairs at St. John’s Episcopal Church located on 16 Church Street, Waterbury, CT 06702. Rehearsals for “Forte” will be held on Sunday's from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Rehearsals for “Crescendo,” will be held in on Sunday’s from 2:30pm-3:30pm. A variety of sacred and secular choral repertoire, proper vocal technique, and music theory are taught in every rehearsal. The  choir has no membership fee and transportation to and from rehearsals is available.  REHEARSALS BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2012.  For more information please contact the director, Melissa Rooklidge at mrooklidge@gmail.com.
