Comedian Gabriel Iglesias at Palace Theater

Sat, 07/28/2012 - 16:08

Comedy Central’s infamously “fluffy” and Hawaiian shirt-wearing comedian Gabriel Iglesias returns to the Palace Theater in Waterbury with his latest comedy act, “Stand-Up Revolution – The Tour,” September 29, at 8p.m. Tickets for the show are $47.50 and can be purchased by phone at 203-346-2002, online atwww.palacetheaterct.org, or in person at the Palace Theater Box Office, 100 East Main Street in Waterbury, CT.

Gabriel Iglesias has been described as a witty, electrifying and a talented performer with the ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience from start to finish. His high-octane show is a mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal experiences to life. The comedian’s clean and animated comedy style has earned national crossover appeal, making him popular among fans of all ages.

Following his highly successfully Comedy Central debut titled “Hot & Fluffy,” Iglesias’ mass appeal opened the door to a rare opportunity for the comic to film a second, one-hour special and DVD on the comedy network. Filmed live in front of a packed house in El Paso, TX, “I’m Not Fat...I’m Fluffy,” featured the comedian’s signature blend of spot-on voice skills and uncanny knack for storytelling. In October of last year, Iglesias’s star continued to rise when Comedy Central launched “Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution,” a new comedy series in which the “fluffy” comedian hosts and performs stand-up along with an array of diverse comedians that he personally selects for the show.
