Big Day For Waterbury's Lorraine Johnston
Fri, 06/22/2012 - 13:53

Life-long Waterbury resident Lorraine Johnston was touted as the French Canadian "Mayor For The Day" in a ceremony this morning in City Hall. Johnston, who is legally blind, said she was thrilled at the honor and looked forward to going home and taking a nap. She said her granddaughter was getting married tonight and she had to rest up so she could "keep on partying tonight." Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary, right, enjoyed Johnston short and humorous speech.
