Marketing & Publicity Workshop, June 5

“How to Market & Publicize Your Business and Law Practice To Build Awareness” will be the interactive program Tuesday, June 5 at the soon-to-open Meadow Street Grill at 228 Meadow Street in Waterbury from 8:30 to10:00 a.m. The program will be co-presented by Barbara Branagan-Mitchell, owner and director of Branagan Communications Consultants LLC (BCC) (www.branagancommunications.com)in New Milford, Conn., a public relations, publicity placement, marketing communications and writing and editing consulting agency; and Cheshire law practice and business advisor, Douglas S. Brown, Esq.

Event attendees will learn steps law firms and other businesses can take to create ongoing, awareness-building marketing and public relations messages plus methods for packaging those messages and distributing them to wide target audiences. “Designed for attorneys and other business professionals,” stated Brown, “this program can help any business create a marketing and PR campaign strategy for creating broader awareness among their target audiences. The materials we will deliver could help any business persone ffectively market and brand their company, product and services to the audiences they want to reach.”

In their collaborative workshop, Brown will provide attendees with steps for creating compelling marketing messages, and Branagan-Mitchell will provide step-by-step tactics for obtaining ‘free’ publicity with media outlets through press releases and captioned photos and how to distribute these powerful marketing tools to media outlets.

A specialist in public relations and publicity placement for various businesses for 35 years, Branagan-Mitchell created and executed highly-successful publicity campaigns for two high-profile law firms in Westchester County, New York, and has been creating effective public relations campaigns for all types of businesses throughout Connecticut for the past six years.

Douglas S. Brown, Esq. has been an attorney and law firm advisor in the Cheshire region for the past 15 years.
