Congressman Chris Murphy today announced that the Waterbury Housing Authority will receive $257,629 for 40 vouchers to help the region’s homeless veteran population through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program (HUD-VASH).

Pumpernickel Puppet shows are presented with a cast of colorful puppet characters, audience participation, live voices and sound effects and fast paced scripts that not only entertain, but stimulate children's imagination and creativity. A demonstration period follows every performance giving the audience some insight into what happens behind the scenes.
UConn’s Brass City Dash 5K, April 14
The University of Connecticut Waterbury campus has announced the third annual Brass City Dash, a 5K road race through downtown Waterbury will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 – race starting at 9:30 AM. Proceeds from the race will be used to support students in the areas of academic and enrichment activities at the Waterbury campus.
