Alliance Française Announces Programs
The Alliance Française of Northwestern Connecticut, Inc. (AFNWCT) will sponsor a Café & Conversation on French folk dancing Saturday, April 6th, at 10:30 a.m. at The Barn Club, 558 Main Street South, Woodbury. Dance master Patricia Campbell will present the topic in French and attendees will also read related materials. Admission is open to the public. A $5 is requested of non-members. Milton Homes featured in Annual House Tour
The 66th Annual Open House Day Tour of Litchfield to benefit the Connecticut Junior Republic (CJR) will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine. Conducted by the Litchfield Aid of CJR, an auxiliary volunteer organization established for the sole purpose of supporting the Connecticut Junior Republic, this year’s tour will feature five homes of historic and architectural interest in the quaint community of Milton. Unitarian Universalist's New Minister

The Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society (MUUS) of Woodbury celebrated the congregation’s installation of and covenant with its newly settled minister, The Rev. Jeanne Lloyd, M.Div., M.A. on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at B’nai Israel of Southbury. The service was a gathering of Woodbury and Southbury town officials, clergy of many faiths and people dedicated to religious freedom.
Rep. Butler Delivers Meals to Local Seniors

State Representative Larry B. Butler (D-Waterbury) recently helped deliver meals to homebound older adults in Waterbury. New Opportunities Meals on Wheels sponsored “Mayors Deliver Meals Day” (March 20th) to provide seniors who are trying to maintain their independence in their own home a healthy meal.
"April in Paris" Wine Dinner Benefit
The Board of Directors of Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury will present their annual Wine Dinner and Auction fundraiser on Friday, April 19, at 6:00 p.m. at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. This year’s theme is “April in Paris” and guests will sample and savor French wines, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert as well as have the chance to bid on items such as tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII, jewelry, restaurant gift certificates and ESPN merchandise.
